We are the Arnhem Fallen Angels
Do you want to know all about Arnhem Fallen Angels? Arnhem Fallen Angels was founded in April 2011 and is the sportsleague of the greater Arnhem area to play flat track roller derby. At Arnhem Fallen Angels you will find a place where you are athletically challenged and you will find an inclusive skate family with skaters and volunteers from all walks of life.

Our Teams
Our women’s boutteam,Team Alpha, plays under the international rules of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). The WFTDA has the most inclusive sports policy regarding gender. We welcome trans women, intersex women and gender queer in Team Alpha if womens roller derby is the version of roller derby with which you most closely identify. This team plays games in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and other countries competing for the European ranking.
March 2016 Airbomb Rollers Men’s Derby League merged into Arnhem Fallen Angels. Team Bravo is our all gender team and playes mostly mixed scrimmages that do not count towards the European ranking. Our men form their own boutteam ‘Market Gardeners’, together with men from Roadkill Rollers from Nijmegen en Rockcity Rollers from Eindhoven.
Training
Roller Derby is an amazing, but also a challenging and physically demanding teamsport. During training we will not only work on gametactics, but also on skate technique, agility, strength and endurance. All skaters start in the beginners group in which you will learn the basics of the sport with skaters of your own level. When you have finished the beginners program, you are ready for your first scrimmages with Team Bravo and after that you will join the most suitable boutteam.
We train twice a week at Sportcentrum Valkenhuizen on Tuesday and Thursday from 20.00-22.00. Once a month we have a league training with all members. This way you will get to know everyone within AFA.
